Make OpenClaw post to X and LinkedIn

Let your AI agent schedule and publish posts to LinkedIn and X, and schedule TikTok. OpenClaw connects to UniPost the way it connects to any remote MCP server: add one URL, sign in once, then message OpenClaw from WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack or wherever you run it and ask for a post. UniPost holds your X and LinkedIn connections, refreshes X's sign-in for you, and the post goes out once OpenClaw publishes it.

The first 2 are free, then $3, $1, and $0.50 each as you add more. No credit card for the free ones.

What OpenClaw can do with UniPost

Once UniPost is connected, OpenClaw gets 7 MCP tools. It can:

  • Write a post and schedule it for now or any time up to a year ahead.
  • Send the same text to up to 10 accounts in one call, for example your X account and your LinkedIn profile.
  • Attach up to 4 images or one video on X, and up to 9 images or one video on LinkedIn. OpenClaw passes public https links and UniPost downloads the files.
  • Check your X credits and each X account's hourly and daily limit before it posts, with get_x_allowance.
  • List what's scheduled, posted or failed, and cancel anything that hasn't gone out.
  • Read views, likes, comments and shares for TikTok posts. LinkedIn and X don't report post analytics to UniPost yet.

list_accountslist_postsschedule_postapprove_postcancel_postget_analyticsget_x_allowance

UniPost posts through each network's official API with the access you grant when you connect. There's no scraping and no browser automation, and OpenClaw never sees your X or LinkedIn password.

Skill or MCP server? How OpenClaw connects

UniPost is an MCP server. The skill is optional.

OpenClaw can call remote MCP servers as a client, and that's how it reaches UniPost. The server at https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp does the work: it lists your accounts, schedules posts and publishes them. There's no CLI to install and nothing runs on your machine besides OpenClaw.

UniPost also has a skill, installed with npx skills add ajhous44/unipost-agent -g -a openclaw -y (or openclaw skills install git:ajhous44/unipost-agent). It's a Markdown file that teaches OpenClaw the tools, X's credit costs and the media limits for each network, so it writes better requests. The skill doesn't connect anything by itself; you still add the MCP server after OpenClaw is installed.

Connect OpenClaw to UniPost in 5 steps

  1. 1

    Create a free UniPost account and connect X or LinkedIn.

    Choose X or LinkedIn under Connections. The network's own sign-in page opens and asks you to let UniPost post for you. UniPost never sees your password.

  2. 2

    Install OpenClaw.

    Install OpenClaw first (needs Node 24.16+). See the OpenClaw install guide.

  3. 3

    Add UniPost's MCP server to OpenClaw.

    Run this where your OpenClaw gateway runs. Set the transport to streamable-http: OpenClaw uses SSE when you leave it out, and UniPost's server doesn't stream SSE.

    openclaw mcp add unipost --url https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp --transport streamable-http --auth oauth
  4. 4

    Sign in and allow access.

    Sign in to UniPost in the browser window that opens, choose the workspace the agent may use, and select Allow. Only workspace owners and admins can authorize agents. Run openclaw mcp login unipost. The sign-in sends your browser back to 127.0.0.1:8989, so open the link on the same machine as the gateway; on a remote or headless box, copy the code from the address bar and run openclaw mcp login unipost --code <code>. Then check the connection:

    openclaw mcp login unipost

    openclaw mcp doctor unipost --probe
  5. 5

    Message OpenClaw.

    Ask for a list of accounts, or for a draft before it schedules.

    List the social accounts connected to UniPost.
    Write a short X post and a LinkedIn post about [what you shipped], and schedule both for tomorrow at 9am in my timezone. Show me the text first.

Optional: install the skill.

Bare npx skills add installs into ./.agents/skills for other agents. For OpenClaw, use the flags below (or openclaw skills install git:ajhous44/unipost-agent).

npx skills add ajhous44/unipost-agent -g -a openclaw -y

Can't use OAuth? Use an API key.

A workspace owner or admin creates a key under API keys in UniPost. Keep it in an environment variable on the gateway and send it as a bearer header instead of --auth oauth:

{
  "mcp": {
    "servers": {
      "unipost": {
        "url": "https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp",
        "transport": "streamable-http",
        "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${UNIPOST_API_KEY}" }
      }
    }
  }
}

What UniPost can't do from OpenClaw yet

  • No Instagram or LinkedIn company pages yet. Both are coming soon. Today it's LinkedIn, X, and TikTok, with Facebook Pages and YouTube in beta.
  • One standalone post at a time. No threads, replies, comments, polls or quote posts.
  • TikTok takes video only, one per post, and TikTok may keep posts private until it finishes reviewing UniPost.
  • No analytics from LinkedIn or X. They don't report post numbers to UniPost yet. TikTok does.
  • Media must be a public https link: JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP up to 8 MB, or MP4, MOV or WebM up to 1 GB. Files on the gateway's disk don't work.
  • UniPost doesn't check X's character limit. It accepts up to 3,000 characters for any network, and X rejects a post that's too long for your account when it comes due.
  • Reconnect LinkedIn when its sign-in expires. UniPost refreshes X's sign-in itself but not LinkedIn's.

Posting from Claude or Cursor too? See agent setup guides.

UniPost and Postiz for OpenClaw

Postiz has an OpenClaw page too, and for some setups it's the better choice. Postiz cells come from postiz.com/openclaw and postiz.com/pricing, checked October 21, 2026.

Pricing

UniPost has no plans. You pay per connected account. Your first 2 connected accounts are free. After that it's $3, $1, and $0.50 per account as you add more. An X account or a LinkedIn profile counts as one account, so 10 accounts is $24 a month. Billing is month to month, and you can cancel anytime from Billing.

Free accounts include 500 agent tool calls a month. X posts also use X credits: 1 for a plain post and 13 for a post with a link.

OpenClaw and UniPost FAQ

Can OpenClaw post to X?
Yes, once it's connected to an MCP server that publishes to X. With UniPost, add the server with openclaw mcp add, sign in once, and ask OpenClaw for a post. Setup takes 5 steps.
Can OpenClaw post to LinkedIn?
Yes, to LinkedIn personal profiles. LinkedIn hasn't published a public MCP server, so OpenClaw needs a third-party one such as UniPost. Company pages are coming soon.
Is UniPost an OpenClaw skill or an MCP server?
An MCP server. OpenClaw connects to it as an MCP client. UniPost also has an optional skill (npx skills add ajhous44/unipost-agent -g -a openclaw -y, or openclaw skills install git:ajhous44/unipost-agent) that teaches OpenClaw the tools and limits, but the skill alone doesn't connect your accounts.
Does OpenClaw need my X or LinkedIn password?
No. You connect X and LinkedIn to UniPost with each network's own sign-in. OpenClaw signs in to UniPost only, with OAuth, and stores that sign-in on the gateway. You can revoke it any time under API keys in UniPost.
Why does the server need transport streamable-http?
OpenClaw assumes SSE for a remote server unless you set a transport. UniPost's server answers with plain JSON over Streamable HTTP and doesn't open an SSE stream, so the connection fails without the flag.
How many X posts can OpenClaw make?
It depends on your X credits and rate limits. Free accounts get 10 credits a month, a plain post uses 1 and a post with a link uses 13, and each X account can post up to 10 times an hour and 25 times a day. Ask OpenClaw to run get_x_allowance to see what's left.
What does it cost?
The first 2 are free, then $3, $1, and $0.50 each as you add more. Each connected X account or LinkedIn profile is one account. No credit card for the free ones, and you can cancel anytime. See /pricing.
Can I schedule posts days ahead?
Yes. OpenClaw can schedule a post for now or any time up to a year ahead, and the post goes out once OpenClaw publishes it.
