LinkedIn image sizes for profiles and posts

LinkedIn Help lists separate sizes for your profile photo, your cover image and images in posts. Drop in your file, and the checker tells you whether it fits each one.

Try it

PlacementSize
Profile photo400 x 400 to 7680 x 4320, 8 MB (LinkedIn Help)
Cover image1584 x 396
Post photoAt least 552 x 276; ratio 3:1 to 4:5; 5 MB

Through UniPost, a LinkedIn post can take up to 9 images or 1 video. That is UniPost's schedule limit, not a LinkedIn Help figure.

Drop a local file to check it. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1

Drop in your file. The browser reads it, and nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

The checker compares it with LinkedIn Help's profile photo, cover image and post photo sizes.

  3. 3

The profile photo and post photo show pass or fail, with the reason. The cover image shows pass, or check when it isn't 4:1 like 1584 x 396 or is over 8 MB.

  4. 4

Read the row for the placement you're uploading to.
