UTM builder for social media links
Google Analytics reads utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign from your links to show which posts sent traffic, and Google says to always set those three. This builder fills them in, keeps values lowercase so reports don't split, and gives you a link ready to paste.

FAQ
- Which UTM parameters do I need?
- Google Analytics Help says to always use utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. Add utm_content to tell apart two links in the same campaign.
- Does capitalization matter?
- Yes. UTM values are case-sensitive, so LinkedIn and linkedin show up as two sources. The builder lowercases everything by default, as Google recommends.
- Does a link change how my X post counts?
- X counts any link as 23 characters, however long the UTM string. Through UniPost, a post with a link uses 13 X credits instead of 1.
