LinkedIn post text formatter

LinkedIn posts have no formatting toolbar, so this formatter swaps your words for Unicode bold or italic letters you can paste. It also counts the result against LinkedIn Help's 3,000-character limit. Style a word or two at most, because screen readers may not read it.

Try it

Screen readers may read these letters one by one, announce them as math symbols, or skip them. People who use a screen reader may not be able to read your styled text. Keep names, links, hashtags and calls to action in plain text, and style a word or two at most.

Characters

0 / 3000

LinkedIn doesn't publish where "see more" cuts a post, so the formatter doesn't mark one.

How it works

  1. 1

Type the words you want to style.

  2. 2

Pick bold or italic. Bold swaps letters and digits for Unicode look-alikes, and italic swaps letters only.

  3. 3

The count shows how many of LinkedIn's 3,000 characters the result uses.

  4. 4

Copy the result and paste it into your post.

FAQ

Can I bold text in a LinkedIn post?
There's no bold button, so styled text here is made of Unicode characters that look bold. They paste as normal text.
Is styled text accessible?
Often not. Screen readers may spell it out or call it math symbols, so keep it to a word or two.
How long can a LinkedIn post be?
3,000 characters, per LinkedIn Help. Articles allow 125,000.
Where does "see more" cut my post?
LinkedIn doesn't publish a number, and it changes with screen size, so the formatter doesn't mark one.
