What your agent can do on YouTube

Your agent gets UniPost's MCP tools. On a connected YouTube channel, it can:

• Schedule a post with schedule_post and exactly one video (video only). Images are rejected.
• Schedule from now up to a year ahead.
• Pass a public https video URL; UniPost downloads it.
• Target other connected accounts in the same call, up to 10. See the LinkedIn MCP server and the X MCP server for those networks.
• List connected accounts with list_accounts, list what's scheduled, posted, or failed with list_posts, and cancel anything that hasn't published with cancel_post.
• Title and description come from your post text, and videos publish public. The first line becomes the title (max 100 characters); the body becomes the description (max 5,000); < and > are stripped. Agent tool text is still capped at 3,000 characters.
• YouTube decides Shorts from format and length; UniPost has no separate Shorts path.

Tools it gets

Uploads go through YouTube's Data API v3 resumable upload after Google/YouTube OAuth. There's no scraping and no browser automation.

   Sign in and allow access.

   Sign in to UniPost in the browser window that opens, choose the workspace the agent may use, and select Allow. Only workspace owners and admins can authorize agents.

   Ask for your first post.

   Ask your agent to list your accounts, then to schedule a video to your channel.

How UniPost differs from other YouTube MCP servers

Most ranked tools pull transcripts, search public videos, or research channels (local stdio or hosted read APIs).

What UniPost does not do on YouTube

• Video only; images rejected. Exactly one video per post.
• Missing video fails publish. schedule_post needs a public https video URL.
• Video file ≤ 1 GB; public https; MP4, MOV, WebM.

Is a YouTube MCP the same as a transcript tool?

No. Many open-source YouTube MCP servers only fetch captions or search public videos. UniPost schedules uploads to a channel you connect.

Can Claude upload to YouTube?

Yes, once Claude is connected to UniPost and a YouTube channel is connected. Video required. Set up Claude.

Can I upload images to YouTube through UniPost?

No. YouTube posts need exactly one video.
