MCP
Social media MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI agents
UniPost is a hosted social media MCP server. Add one URL to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another MCP client, sign in, and your agent can list your connected accounts, schedule posts with images or video, check what's pending, and cancel what hasn't gone out. Every post your agent schedules stays pending until it's approved. Today it publishes to LinkedIn, X, and TikTok, with Facebook Pages and YouTube in beta.
The first 2 are free, then $3, $1, and $0.50 each as you add more. No credit card for the free ones.
What the UniPost MCP server can do
Your agent connects to one server URL and gets 7 tools.
list_accountslists the social accounts in your workspace, with each account's platform and username, and flags any that need reconnecting.list_postslists posts by status (pending approval, scheduled, publishing, posted, failed). Pending posts come with their approval link.schedule_postcreates a post for 1 to 10 accounts at a time you pick, from now up to a year ahead. Text can run to 3,000 characters. Attach up to 10 images or videos as public https links, and UniPost downloads them.approve_postapproves a pending post. Posts that include TikTok, and posts a teammate's agent created, can't be approved this way; they're approved at the approval link.cancel_postdeletes a post that hasn't published yet, whether it's pending, scheduled, or failed.get_analyticsviews, likes, comments, and shares for published posts, by platform, plus your top posts. Only TikTok reports these to UniPost today.get_x_allowancehow many X post credits are left this month, and how many more times each X account can post in the next hour and day.
Your agent works inside one workspace, the one you chose when you signed in. It can't see other workspaces.
How approval works
Every post your agent schedules stays pending until it's approved. When the agent calls schedule_post, UniPost saves the post as pending_approval and returns an approval link. The post doesn't go to any network while it's pending.
You can approve it in three ways: the approval link, the dashboard, or your agent.
- Open the approval link, check the text, media, and time, and approve it there. For TikTok, this is also where you pick the post's privacy setting.
- In the UniPost dashboard, under Overview → Needs attention.
- Tell your agent to publish it, and the agent calls approve_post.
An approved post publishes at its scheduled time, or right away if that time has already passed. If you change your mind first, ask your agent to cancel it, or cancel it in the dashboard.
Your agent can approve a post it scheduled for you, so tell it to show you the full text, images, and time first. UniPost's server instructions tell agents never to approve a post you haven't seen and agreed to. If a teammate's agent created the post, your agent can't approve it; it has to be approved through the link.
Posts you write yourself in the dashboard skip this step. Clicking Schedule post or Post now there counts as your approval.
Connect your agent in 4 steps
- 1
Create a free UniPost account and connect a social account.
Create a free UniPost.ai account and connect a social account. Takes about a minute.
- 2
Add the MCP server to your agent.
The URL is the same for every client:
https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp
- 3
Sign in and allow access.
Sign in to UniPost in the browser window that opens, choose the workspace the agent may use, and select Allow. Only workspace owners and admins can authorize agents.
- 4
Ask for your first post.
> List the social accounts in this workspace. > Prepare a post for tomorrow at 9 a.m. in my timezone. Show me the full text and destination accounts before you publish it.
Your agent returns an approval link. Approve the post there, or in the dashboard under Overview → Needs attention.
Sign-in uses OAuth with a browser window, so you don't paste a password or key into your agent. If a client can't finish the sign-in, create a key under API keys and send it as a bearer token.
Which networks the MCP server publishes to
| Network | Status | Notes | Post analytics |
|---|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn profiles | Live | Not yet | |
| X | Live | Not yet | |
| TikTok | Live · private until review | the user picks privacy from TikTok's allowed options at the approval link; TikTok may keep the post private until UniPost's app review is done | Yes |
| Facebook Pages | Beta | Facebook Pages open to everyone once Meta approves | Not yet |
| YouTube | Beta | YouTube uploads are private until Google's review passes | Not yet |
| Coming soon | (business and creator accounts) is coming soon, also pending Meta's approval | Not yet | |
| LinkedIn company pages | Coming soon | Can't be connected yet | Not yet |
Each network takes different media. LinkedIn profiles take text, up to 9 images, or one video. TikTok and YouTube take exactly one video. Facebook Pages take text, images, or one video. X takes text, up to 4 images, or one video. If a post doesn't fit a network, schedule_post returns an error that says why, and nothing is saved.
X charges UniPost per post, so X posts use credits. A plain post uses 1 credit and a post with a link uses 13. Free accounts get 10 credits a month, and each X account can post up to 10 times an hour and 25 times a day. Your agent can check what's left with get_x_allowance.

Social media MCP server FAQ
- What is a social media MCP server?
- It's a server that gives an AI agent tools to post on social media. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other agents use to call outside tools. UniPost's server gives your agent tools to list your accounts, schedule and cancel posts, and read analytics. Every post your agent schedules stays pending until it's approved.
- Which AI agents work with UniPost?
- Any MCP client that connects over HTTP. There are setup pages for Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot, and Gemini CLI. Most sign in through the browser with OAuth; Cursor and Gemini CLI can also use an API key if the sign-in doesn't finish.
- Can my agent post without me?
- Every post your agent schedules is saved as pending and stays pending until it's approved, through its approval link or in the dashboard. Ask your agent to show you the post first.
- Which social networks can it post to?
- LinkedIn profiles, X, and TikTok today. Facebook Pages and YouTube are in beta while each platform reviews UniPost: Facebook Pages open to everyone once Meta approves, and YouTube uploads are private until Google's review passes. Instagram (business and creator accounts) is coming soon, also pending Meta's approval, with LinkedIn company pages after that. LinkedIn MCP server.
- Is the UniPost MCP server free?
- The first 2 are free, then $3, $1, and $0.50 each as you add more. The MCP server comes with every account, free ones included, and there's no credit card for the free ones. See pricing.
- Do I need to give my agent my social media passwords?
- No. You connect each social account yourself in UniPost under Connections. Your agent signs in to UniPost, not to your social networks, and its tools return account names and ids, never your social logins or tokens. When you authorize an agent, you pick the one workspace it can use.
