MCP
LinkedIn MCP server for Claude and other AI agents
LinkedIn hasn't published a public MCP server, so any agent that posts to LinkedIn goes through a third party. UniPost is one. Connect your LinkedIn profile with LinkedIn's own sign-in, add UniPost's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another MCP client, and ask your agent to write and schedule posts. Every post your agent schedules stays pending until it's approved, in the chat, through an approval link, or in the UniPost dashboard.
The first 2 are free, then $3, $1, and $0.50 each as you add more. No credit card for the free ones.
What your agent can do on LinkedIn
Your agent gets UniPost's MCP tools. On a LinkedIn profile, it can:
- Write a post and schedule it for any time from now up to a year ahead, with schedule_post.
- Attach up to 9 images or one video. The agent passes public https links and UniPost downloads the files.
- Post the same text to LinkedIn and your other connected accounts in one call, up to 10 accounts.
- List what's pending, scheduled, posted, or failed with list_posts, and cancel anything that hasn't published with cancel_post.
- Approve a post with approve_post once you've told it to publish.
Tools it gets
Posts go out to your profile with public visibility, through LinkedIn's posting API for members. There's no scraping and no browser automation.

How approval works
When your agent calls schedule_post, UniPost saves the post as pending_approval and returns an approval link. Nothing goes to LinkedIn until the post is approved.
You can approve it in three ways: the approval link, the dashboard, or your agent.
- Open the approval link, check the text, media, and time, and approve it there. For TikTok, this is also where you pick the post's privacy setting.
- In the UniPost dashboard, under Overview → Needs attention.
- Tell your agent to publish it, and the agent calls approve_post.
An approved post publishes at its scheduled time, or right away if that time has already passed. If you change your mind first, ask your agent to cancel it, or cancel it in the dashboard.
Your agent can approve a post it scheduled for you, so tell it to show you the full text, images, and time first. UniPost's server instructions tell agents never to approve a post you haven't seen and agreed to. If a teammate's agent created the post, your agent can't approve it; it has to be approved through the link.
Posts you write yourself in the dashboard skip this step. Clicking Schedule post or Post now there counts as your approval.
Connect LinkedIn to your agent in 4 steps
- 1
Create a free UniPost account and connect your LinkedIn profile.
Choose LinkedIn under Connections. LinkedIn's own sign-in page opens and asks you to let UniPost read your name, photo, and email and post on your behalf. UniPost never sees your LinkedIn password.
- 2
Add UniPost's MCP server to your agent.
The server URL is the same for every client:
https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp
- 3
Sign in and allow access.
Sign in to UniPost in the browser window that opens, choose the workspace the agent may use, and select Allow. Only workspace owners and admins can authorize agents.
- 4
Ask for your first post.
Your agent returns an approval link. Approve the post there, or in the dashboard under Overview → Needs attention.
> List the social accounts in this workspace. > Prepare a post for tomorrow at 9 a.m. in my timezone. Show me the full text and destination accounts before you publish it.
How to post to LinkedIn from Claude
Claude can't reach LinkedIn by itself. It needs an MCP server with a publishing tool. With UniPost connected:
- Add UniPost from Claude's connector directory, or as a custom connector with https://mcp.unipost.ai/mcp, and sign in.
- Ask Claude something like: "Turn these notes into a LinkedIn post for Thursday at 8 a.m. Show me the post before you schedule it."
- Claude calls list_accounts to find your LinkedIn profile, then schedule_post with the text, time, and any image links. The post is saved as pending and Claude gets an approval link.
- Read the post. Say "publish it" and Claude calls approve_post, or open the link and approve it yourself.
The post publishes at the time you set. Ask Claude "what's scheduled on LinkedIn?" and it calls list_posts. Claude Code works the same way from the terminal. /agents/claude-code.
LinkedIn MCP servers compared
LinkedIn has no official MCP server. These hosted servers publish to LinkedIn through its API. Each row uses only what the vendor's own page says, checked October 20, 2026. A dash means the page doesn't say.

What UniPost can't do on LinkedIn yet
- Personal profiles only. LinkedIn company pages are coming soon. You can't connect a page today.
- No LinkedIn analytics. LinkedIn doesn't report post views, likes, comments, or shares to UniPost, so get_analytics has no LinkedIn numbers. It does for TikTok.
- Text, up to 9 images, or one video. No PDF document posts, polls, or articles, and you can't mix a video with images. A link goes in as text; UniPost doesn't add a link preview card.
- 3,000 characters per post through the agent tools.
- Reconnect when LinkedIn's sign-in expires. UniPost doesn't refresh LinkedIn tokens itself. list_accounts marks the profile needs_reconnect, and scheduling to it fails until you reconnect it under Connections.
- Media must be a public https link when an agent attaches it: JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP up to 8 MB, or MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 1 GB.

Pricing
UniPost has no plans. You pay per connected account. Your first 2 connected accounts are free. After that it's $3, $1, and $0.50 per account as you add more. A LinkedIn profile counts as one account. MCP, approvals, and unlimited teammates come with every account, including the free ones.
Free accounts include 500 agent tool calls a month.

- Every post your agent schedules is saved as pending. It goes live only after someone approves it in the chat, through the approval link, or in the dashboard.
